How to Care for Marble, Granite and Natural Stone

Ana Stone Journal

Natural stone is made to last. A few habits keep it looking beautiful.

Daily cleaning

Use warm water and a mild, pH-neutral soap. Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners — vinegar, lemon and bleach can dull polished surfaces, especially marble.

Wipe spills promptly

Oil, wine, coffee and citrus should be wiped up quickly. Marble is softer and more sensitive to acids than granite or quartzite.

Seal as recommended

Sealed granite resists everyday stains. Ask us how often your specific stone should be resealed.
