Your Slab Yard Visit: What to Know Before You Go

Seeing a full slab in person is the best way to choose your stone. A little preparation makes the visit smoother.

Timing matters

Select slabs no more than one week before your template date. Stone yards can only tag and hold material for seven days.

Safety rules

Slab yards are working warehouses with heavy machinery. Children under 15 and pets are not allowed, visitors must stay with a yard employee, and open-toed shoes are not permitted.

Bring the right things

Take a cabinet door or sample with you, call ahead for an appointment, and sign the material verification form to tag your slab. Make sure the form is sent to Ana Stone before you leave.
